What is DEVADURGA?
DEVADURGA continues to be created by designer Hitoshi Shimazaki from his hometown of Amami Oshima with his unique sense.
The highest mountain in the Himalayas, Everest, was called Devadurga in Sanskrit.
It means a sacred mountain, the top of the world.
With this meaning in our brand name, we continue to propose a unique outdoor style using Amami's traditional crafts, mud dyeing and indigo dyeing, from Japan to the world.


What is [Mud Dyeing]?
Amami Oshima, Kagoshima Prefecture, is a world-famous traditional industry [Oshima Tsumugi]
It is one of its production processes, and has a history of 1300 years. dyeing method.

A technique of dyeing everything by hand, using the Techi tree that grows naturally on Amami Oshima and iron-rich mud that can only be produced in Amami.
Since no chemical dyes are used, there is no harm to the environment and no allergens are mixed in.
A truly unique dyeing method that has many benefits such as deodorizing and insect repelling effects.
