What is DEVADURGA?
Designer Hitoshi Shimazaki continues to send from his hometown Amami Oshima with his own sense.
The highest mountain in the Himalayas, "Everest," was called Devadurga in Sanskrit.
It means a sacred mountain, the top of the world.
With such a meaning in its own brand name, we continue to propose unique outdoor styles using Amami's traditional crafts, mud dyeing and indigo dyeing, from Japan to the world.
